When the crown prince of Sweden visited
the Osaka Expo in 1970, he dined at the Kitano
Club in Kobe, our sister restaurant, and was greatly
impressed with the cuisine. He enjoyed his meal
so much that he recommended we build a second location
in Tokyo's Roppongi, which we opened the following
year in 1971.
In 1999, we were proud to open our
Akasaka location. We invite you to eat to your
heart's content at the same smorgasbord of Northern
European cuisine enjoyed by the royal family of
Sweden. |

|
The space inside of the restaurant
is bright and airy, and the color scheme is based
on white with blue and yellow accents, recalling
the Swedish flag. This calm, relaxing atmosphere
makes Restaurant Stockholm the perfect to spend
time with family and friends. |

The smorgasbord-featuring over 60
different dishes-is a type of traditional Northern
European cuisine with a long history dating back
to the 1700s. Our smorgasbord features seven different
kinds of herring, a dish popular in Sweden. In
addition, we have a variety of fresh seafood and
meats, and cheeses. We hope you save some space
to enjoy our desserts as well, which capture the
flavor of genuine Swedish home cooking and include
an assortment of cakes and fruits. |

Aquavit is a type of spirit, the
word coming from the Latin "Aqua-vitae" which means
"water of life." This alcohol from Northern Europe
is flavored with an assortment of herbs and is
very difficult to obtain in Japan, so be sure to
give it a try when enjoying our smorgasbord. |
